RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 iPhone 3GS Baseband Downgrade
RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 has been released by the iPhone Dev-Team, today. This updated RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 includes niche ‘DFU IPSW’ feature and an improved iPhone 3GS baseband downgrade.
RedSnow v0.9.14b2 covers 3 kinds of NOR chips in the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G. It has also an easy method and logging to support detect any residual stubborn iPhones.
New DFU IPSW Feature
RedSn0w 0.9.14b2 include new ‘DFU IPSW’ feature, which is helpful for the users with a broken power or home button. You can easily enter DFU mode to restore to a normal IPSW stock.
Steps for iPhone 3GS Baseband Downgrade
- Connect your iPhone in normal mode, and click “Jailbreak” then redsn0w will automatically detect your iPhone model and BB.
- Select “Downgrade from iPad baseband” option.
- Switch off your iPhone by “slide to power off” and lead through the normal DFU ramdisk steps.
Warning:
If your iPhone 3GS is manufactured in early 2011 or later don’t try to install, it’ll brick your device because NOR chip of this kind of 3GS is incompatible with 06.15.00.
